About Me
Hello, I'm glad you're here! 👋
I'm Rachel, and I am a creative with a passion for storytelling. And while I enjoy writing, I don't think storytelling ends with written words. Many of my lifelong fascinations all point back to storytelling.

When I was little, before I even had a coherent thought, I was fascinated with cameras. Photos, videos, it didn't matter, I wanted my hands on any camera I saw. And now as an adult, I realize it probably blew my one-year-old mind to look through a lens and see my world through a whole new perspective. Now, whether or not I fully realized I was looking at what was right in front of me, just through a camera lens, that's a different story.

As I got a little older, I was obsessed with clothes and fashion. Any downtime where I wasn't playing outside, I was in my closet, putting outrageous outfits together and accessorizing to the high heavens. Depending on my outfit, it evoked a different character out of me. I would look in the mirror, admire my outfit and I would take on the mannerisms of whoever I thought would wear that particular look.

Fast forward a few years, and I found the world of YouTube - this changed everything. If my parents didn't have a time limit for computer time on our family computer we shared in our living room, I would have spent an ungodly amount of time diving down different black holes of my favorite "YouTubers" (I don't think they had a term for them back then!), fail videos and sports montages.

I tell you all of this because this is my story. As humans, all we do is share stories, I guess it's just whether or not you view them as such. It's easy to look at an Instagram post with #Vibes as the caption and just scroll on without a second thought. However, that is that person's story, it's whether or not you stop to "listen" to it. My story is built up of little tiny stories, and isn't that what life's all about?

So, I hope this portfolio tells you a little more about me, my passion for storytelling and how I got here.
